FILM - Buddha’s Lost Children - Part 2

Friday 22nd January at 7:30pm

By popular demand we will show part two of this lively documentary where the film crew return to the forest to show the monks the film they made and to see how life is going for them. Set in the border regions of Burma and Thailand, the Golden Triangle infamous for its drug lords and violence, a nomadic, horse riding maverick Buddhist monk, Phra Kru Ba, devotes his life to helping the isolated communities and rescuing orphan children. He's built a Temple, orphanage, school and clinic - a haven for the children of the region, who see him as a shaman, father figure and coach.

The inspirational story continues... Under Khru Ba’s care the boys continue to learn how to take care of themselves and their horses.

Peace is Every Step - Thich Nhat Hahn

Friday 12th February at 7:30pm

Narrated by Ben Kingsley this is an homage to one of the great Peace activists who’s words resonate long after the film stops.

Amongst White Clouds

Friday 12th March at 7:30pm

An intimate look at Buddhist masters and students who occupy retreats in China’s Zhongnan Mountain range. It was thought that the five thousand year old tradition was wiped out but this film emphatically and beautifully shows us otherwise.
